MSC Electronics SK s. r. o.

MSC Elektronics SK, s.r.o., was established by two partners MSC Microcomputers Systems Components Vertiebs GmbH from Germany and a local company ELCOM, s.r.o. based in Prešov. The company will invest 600000 € in the first stage of development, another 3 million € in the progress of the next five years and create approximately 100 jobs. The investment will bring new work opportunities for young experts in the field of electronics.

The initial investment is divided into three years. In the year 2010 the company started its operation and employed new employees. Theese employees are now beiing trained in Germany. The investor is planning to commence production in 2012 in a newly build factory located in Industrial Park Záborské. One of the points of interest of the investor is cooperation with the individual faculties of the Technical University in Kosice. The company ELCOM is known for producing cash registers and accessories. The company started cooperating with MSC 14 years ago. This project is the continueing of this cooperation. Slovakia was chosen because its qualified work force, price of work, quality business environment, economical and political stability and the fact it has been accepted into the European Monetary Union.

Both parties agreed to cooperate in the effort to realise the plan in the Industrial Park Záborské which is in the hands of city of Prešov. The city of Prešov has offered help with transportation by creating a new mass transit line.
